48th Annual Users’ Meeting

The annual gathering of the Fermilab Users Organization will be held on June 10-11, 2015.

This meeting is an opportunity for discussion of new physics results from the laboratory’s experimental and theory programs, future initiatives at the lab, and thoughtful presentations from leaders of the scientific policy community.

Topics to be covered at the Users Meeting include:

  • Neutrino Physics

The meeting banquet and Fermilab Student and Postdoc Association (FSPA) poster session will be held on June 10. Students and postdocs can register and submit abstracts for the poster session here

New Perspectives

The FSPA New Perspectives conference will be held on June 8-9.

Public Lecture

The Public Lecture held in conjunction with this year’s Users Meeting will be given by Francis Halzen University of Wisconsin, Madison, on June 10: Ice Fishing for Neutrinos.

Tickets for the lecture are available through the Fermilab Arts and Lecture Series website.

Festa Italiana

The popular Festa Italiana will be held in the Users Center on the evening of June 9 from 20:00 to 23:30.

Special Event

Please also join us on June 10, to celebrate the “APS Historic Site Award Ceremony”. In recognition of the top and bottom quark discovery the Historic Site Committee of the American Physical Society has decided to name Fermilab a historic site.

Travel assistance for young scientists

The Fermilab UEC and the URA Visiting Scholar Program are pleased to announce a program to support travel for a limited number of young scientists for this year’s Annual Users Meeting.
